Men's Basketball Caps Off Regular Season With Home Win

On Saturday afternoon the Wells College Express hosted Penn State Abington for the final game of the regular season.

It had been 1 week since the last game for the Express, but visiting Lions had just lost to SUNY Morrisville last night, Friday.

The Express clearly used their week off from games to rest up as they game out on fire jumping out to an 18-5 lead. Senior Dylan frost started the game off with a bucket in the paint and opened the flood gates for the Express. Abington was able to cut the lead down only to 11 at one point in the first half, but Ivan Oduruo- Dompreh, who went 4-6 for 8 points in the first half, was a big reason the Express were able to build that lead back up and take a 42-22 lead into half time.

In the second half, scoring came from all over for the Express. They saw 11 players score in the second half led by DJ Leckey who came off the bench and shot a red hot 3-4 from three-point range. Overall the complete team effort from the Express helped them seel the win over the visiting Penn State Abington by a score of 94-60. The Express had 5 scorers in double digits!

Express Stat Leaders:

Dylan Perry: 14 pts

Ransel Rodriguez: 11 asts

Ivan Oduro-Dompreh: 12 pts

Jarek Feliz: 12 pts

Jalen Feliz: 12 pts

The next game for the Express will be in the United East Conference Tournament! Stay tuned for when that will be!
