Men's basketball takes on Clarks Summit

On the second day of back-to-back games, the Wells Express men's basketball team traveled to Clarks Summit University for an afternoon match-up.

The defenders of CSU are 1-6 so far on the season and were looking to knock off the 3-1 visiting Wells Express.

The first half set the tone for the entire game and showing us just how competitive it would be. The Express out shot the defenders in every shooting category besides free throws taken and made which is where the Defenders were able to make up some ground. The scoring going into half time was 34-33 in favor of the Express.

In the second half both teams took turns with the lead with neither team being able to take full control. In the final minute the score was 72-71 in favor of the Express. After an untimely foul, the Defenders went to the line with a chance to take the lead with only 20 seconds left. After sinking both and giving the Defenders the lead, the Express had a costly turnover giving the ball back to CSU with just 2 seconds left. Unfortunately the Express would fall on the road by a score of 74-72
