Men's Basketball Opens Confernece Play On The Road

On Friday evening the Wells Express men's basketball team opened up United East Conference play when they traveled to Penn State Harrisburgh.

PSH has had a strong start to the season as they came into this game with a record of 6-1 while the Express has been on a 2 game losing streak and looked to turn things around on the road.

PSH came out in the first half with some hot shooting as they shot 50% exactly in the first half to the Express' 37%. Thanks to the high percentage shooting from Ransel Rodriguez (4-5 FG and 3-4 3PT in the first half) the Express only found themselves down 35-30 heading into halftime.

The second half saw the lead for PSH fluctuate. More than twice the Express would fall behind by as many as 10 and then cut the lead of PSH to only 4 or 5. In the end, the length and athleticism of PSH on defense proved too much for the Express as they fell on the road by a score of 73-61.

Express Leading Scorers
