On Saturday Wells men's basketball took on their third straight United East opponent when they visited St Marys College of Maryland.
The Express had defeated the Gallaudet Bison yesterday on the road and looked to make it two in a row against the Seahawks.
The Express jumped out to an 18-9 lead over the Seahawks early but this game was a battle on both ends. At the half, the Express ended up behind the Seahawks by a score of 41-37.
In the second half, the Express fell behind by as many as 10 points. Thanks to some big-time scoring by Ransel Rodriguez, who had 9 straight points, the Express found themselves down 1 with the ball and only 15 seconds to go. Rodriguez was able to find a driving contested layup but it didn't fall and the Express fell on the road to the Seahawks.
Express Stat Leaders
Ransel Rodriguez: 25pts, 8rbs
Jarek Feliz: 13pts
Jalen Feliz: 12pts, 8rbs
Men's Basketball will be back in action Wednesday when they host Penn College.
