Men's Volleyball Sweeps Home Matchup

Aurora, N.Y. -

Wells College men's volleyball was back on the court Sunday for two matches against Northern Vermont University-Johnson, winning both 3-0.

Match 1: Wells College vs Northern Vermont University-Johnson (25-11, 25-16, 25-15)

The Express dominated each game from the first serve, sweeping the match 3-0.  Leading the way on the offensive end was Connor Garvey with 10 kills and 3 service aces. Mason Moon dealed out 25 assists and had 3 service aces of his own.  Anchoring the defense was Jacob Sehn with 12 digs.

Match 2: Wells Colleve vs Northern Vermont University-Johnson (25-12, 25-20, 25-14)

Jumping out again to an early lead, the Express easily handled game one.  Game two was a back and forth from both teams as the Badgers battled back to keep it close at 20-22, until a couple of much needed points for the Express off of some ball handling errors from their oponent.  Game three had the Express back on track with their execution offensively.  Garvey led the way again with 12 kills, followed by Billy McCrae with 9 kills in his first action of the season.  Moon had 32 assists, and along with Harrison Keena, had 5 digs.

The Express are back in action at home on February 24th hosting a tri-match with Geneva College and SUNY Potsdam starting at 12pm.
