Men's Volleyball Wins Twice At Sage

The Wells College men's volleyball team ran its record to 6-3 in the early season with a sweep of two matches against The Sage Colleges and Emmanuel (Mass.). Wells defeated Sage in five sets and swept a three-set victory over Emmanuel.

Wells returns to action Friday, Feb. 9 at Regis.

Wells 3, Sage 2

The Express took the first two sets and then closed it out in the fifth set. Scores were 25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Wells hit .400 as a team in each of the opening sets to take control. In the decisive fifth set, Wells trailed 9-7 before rattling off six points in a row that included four Sage errors.

Caden O'Loughlin led Wells with 14 kills. Josh Undari had 27 assists and Scott Litvin had 17 assists. Jonathan Haines had two solo blocks and two block assists.

Wells 3, Emmanuel 0

The Express won by set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-19. Emmanuel hit just .020 in the match and Wells hit .233.

Brannon Perdicho led Wells with 12 kills and O'Loughlin added nine. Josh Undari had 18 assists and Mike Hartman and Undari had nine digs each. Ryan Turner had three solo blocks and one block assist. Pericho served three aces.
