Men's Volleyball Attack Overpowers Regis College

The Wells College men's volleyball team picked up its third-straight win with a three-set victory at Regis College on Friday, Feb. 9 at Weston, Mass. Set scores were 25-16, 25-18, 25-22. Wells is 7-3 on the season and Regis is 0-4.

The Wells offense led the way with an exceptional .481 hitting percentage, one of the top-five most efficient attack efforts in program history. Wells totaled 46 kills with eight errors in 79 attempts.

In the first set, Wells hit .520 with 15 kills and two errors. In the second set, 17 kills against three errors, and in the third set 14 kills with three errors. Two players finished in double-digits in kills as Brannon Perdicho had 14 kills and Robert Patzer had 11. They were fed by setters Josh Undari (25 assists) and Scott Litvin (16 assists).

Perdicho and Ryan Turner each had a solo block and Jonathan Haines had three block assists. Undari and Mike Hartman each served one ace. Undari and Kevin Batmunkh led Wells with five digs each.

Wells used an 11-2 run in the opening set to take a 15-7 lead. In the second set, Wells turned a 10-9 lead into an 18-12 advantage and led the rest of the way. Regis closed to within 20-19 in the third set, but Wells closed out the match with two kills by Caden O'Loughlin, one from Brannon Perdicho, and three errors by Regis.

Wells will play two matches Saturday, Feb. 10 hosted by Rivier University in Nashua, N.H. Wells takes on Rivier at 11 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. match against Pine Manor.
