Men's Volleyball Will Contend For Playoff Spot on Sunday

The Wells College men's volleyball team went 1-1 in a pair of conference matches on Saturday, April 1 as part of a North Eastern Athletic Conference crossover weekend hosted by D'Youville College in Buffalo, N.Y. The Express fell in three sets against host D'Youville to start the day, then won 3-0 against Hilbert College to close the day.

Wells enters the second day of the weekend in a three-way tie for third place in the NEAC Standings. The Express will clinch a playoff berth if the team defeats Medaille College on Sunday, with the match beginning at noon. Fans can follow the match with Live Stats and a video webcast. Wells defeated Medaille 3-1 in the meeting between the teams earlier this season.

D'Youville 3, Wells 0

Wells lost in three sets, by scores of 27-25, 25-23, 25-22. The Express hit just .132 in the match with 33 kills and 21 errors. Caden O'Loughlin had 11 kills, Scott Litvin had 18 assists and 12 digs. Jonathan Haines had two solo blocks and one block assist.

Wells 3, Hilbert 0

The Express won by set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-22. Brannon Perdicho had 15 kills and Caden O'Loughlin had 13 kills. Josh Undari had 32 assists and two service aces. Trysten McLaughlin served three aces. Scott Litvin led Wells with eight digs and Ryan Turner had two solo blocks and one block assist.
