Patzer Claims NEAC Men's Volleyball Weekly Award

Wells College men's volleyball sophomore Robert Patzer earned North Eastern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week recognition for the week ending March 31, 2019. Patzer led Wells to three victories in the week and helped the Express establish a program record for wins in a season when Wells won its 22nd match of the year on Sunday at Elmira College.

Patzer averaged 2.2 digs per set. He totaled 22 digs on the week, including 13 in a four-set win at Elmira College. He also added four block assists, 35 kills, six assists and seven service aces. This is the second weekly award of the year for Patzer after earning weekly offensive honors in March.

The Express closes out the regular season with NEAC matches Friday and Saturday. On Friday night, Wells will honor its seniors prior to a 7 p.m. home match against College of St. Elizabeth. On Saturday at 2 p.m. Wells hosts SUNY Poly.
