Wells College women's basketball started the new year with a conference match against the La Roche University RedHawks.
The Red Hawks are the defending conference champions of the AMCC.
The La Roche defense smothered the Express all game producing twenty-three steals and 3 blocks. After scoring twelve points in the first half, the Express mustered six points in the second half. Newcomer Gianna Padula led the Express in scoring with eight points.
Up next, Wells will head to Pitt Greensburg this Saturday for a 2 PM game.
