Utica Pioneers Take Down The Express

On Thursday night the Wells College women's basketball team were on the road once again for one of their final non-conference games at Utica University. The Pioneers would win this one, 108-34.

The Express offense had its highest scoring half of the season. They scored 10 points in the first quarter and 13 in the second. Morgan Adams lead the way with 12 first half points. Wells College shot 35% from the field in the first half and 100% from the foul line (2-2).

The second half was a different story. The Pioneers came out and out scored the Express 26-4 in the third quarter. Going 2-13 from the field and 0-2 from three plagued the Express offense to start the second half. The fourth quarter was more of the same in favor of the Pioneers. In total, the Express would be outscored 57-11 in the second half giving the Pioneers the home victory.

Women's basketball will host its final home game of the semester this Saturday vs Alfred State.
