The Wells College women's basketball team lost 61-37 to Gallaudet University on Sunday, Feb. 10 at the Schwartz Athletic Center. Gallaudet, the first-place team in the NEAC South Division, improved to 11-3 in conference play this season.
Gallaudet went on an 11-0 run in the first quarter and led the rest of the way. The Bison were ahead 31-22 at halftime and outscored Wells 30-15 over the second half.
Shelby Medovich had 22 points and was the leading scorer in the game. Maritza Scharoun led Wells with 11 rebounds.
Wells will close out its season this week with a Wednesday road game at Keuka College and a home game Saturday, Feb. 16 against SUNY Poly. Wells will honor its seniors before Saturday's home game, which begins at 1 p.m.
