Women's Basketball Drops Season Opener To Canton

The Wells College women's basketball team opened their season this evening on the road at SUNY Canton. In the non-conference match-up, the Roo's would outscore the Express 98-27.

The Express returned just two starters to this year's team Lydia Thomas and Morgan Adams.

The newcomers to this year's squad include Miah Williamson, Roosa Armstead-Lehti, Ai Orita, and Brianah Dawson. This was also the first game for the new head coach for the Express, Doug Carter. 

Ai Orita leads the way in scoring for Wells College with 12 points overall in her first collegiate game. Morgan Adams and Brianah Dawson both grabbed 4 rebounds a piece. From the foul line, the Express were 9 for 11. Lydia Thomas also threw in 7 points in the road loss.

The Express will be back in action tomorrow at 1 PM at Cazenovia College.
