The Wells College women's basketball team traveled to Oneonta, N.Y. and dropped a game at Hartwick College by a score of 82-36. The host Hawks went on a 20-0 run over the end of the first and opening minutes of the second period to take control.
Wells rallied from an early deficit to tie the score 9-9 before the decisive run by Hartwick. The Hawks led 40-16 at halftime.
Diamonne Harris led Wells with 11 points, all scored in the second half. Carley Ryan had nine points and Shelby Medovich had seven points. Jordan Jacobs scored four in the fourth quarter. Medovich led Wells with seven rebounds. Harris had four steals.
Wells has a couple of days off for holiday break and will be back in action Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Houghton College.
