The Wells College women's basketball team lost 64-31 to Morrisville State College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Morrisville, N.Y. The Mustangs are undefeated in the NEAC with a 3-0 conference record, and Morrisville is 4-5 overall. Wells is 1-2 in the NEAC and 2-7 overall.
Shelby Medovich led Wells with eight points. She made two 3-pointers. Carley Ryan and Jordan Jacobs each scored six points. Kamarie Maturine had 10 rebounds.
Morrisville got off to a fast start and led 18-5 after the first quarter. The lead for Morrisville was 34-17 at halftime.
The Express offense struggled to convert shots throughout the game, with 12 field goals on 60 attempts. Morrisville held a 50-39 advantage in rebounds.
Wells will travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. from Dec. 18-22. The Express will face Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. and play against Washington and Lee on Dec. 21 at 11 a.m.
