Wells College men's basketball hosted the Gallaudet Bison Friday night for a United East conference match-up. The Express would win this one, 80-62.
The Express brought the energy early but the Bison were ready for it. The Express were up 23-15 and began to run into some foul trouble. The Bison battled all the way back to take a 25-24 lead forcing a timeout from Wells College. With 3 starters out for the remainder of the half, the Express would hold on and take a 31-31 tie into halftime. The second half saw a completely different Express team come out and take it to the Bison. The Express outscored Galalduet by 18 in the second half while shooting 71% from 3 and 54% from the field. The free throw line left a bit to be desired going only 29-44. The Express would secure their first conference win by a score of 80-62.
Jalen Feliz leads the Express with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Ty McBride contributed 15 points, 3 steals, and 2 assists.
Men's basketball will be back in action tomorrow when they host St Mary's College of Maryland at 3 pm
