Men's Basketball Runs To Win At Wilson College

The Wells College men's basketball team got off to a fast start and cruised to an 80-63 win at Wilson College on Sunday, Feb.12. With the victory in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, Wells has a 12-4 record in the conference and remains third in the NEAC North Division. Wells is 15-8 overall. Wilson fell to 7-17 overall and 6-13 in the NEAC.

Wells outscored Wilson 44-25 in the first half and shot 50 percent from the floor. The Express started the second half with a 15-2 run as the advantage grew to 32 points.

Rich Ross led Wells with 22 points. Chris Courtney scored 19 points and Vaughndell Brantley added 15. David Dames was the team's leading rebounder with nine boards. Anthony Nesci had five assists.

Wells made 12 3-pointers in the game including five by Courtney and four by Ross.

The Express concludes its regular season next weekend with a Friday game against The College of Saint Elizabeth and a Saturday afternoon game against Penn College of Technology.
