Men's Basketball Celebrates Their Senior With A Home Win

Wells College men's basketball hosted Penn State Berks for a conference match-up Saturday afternoon. 

Earlier in the season, Penn State Berks defeated the Express at Berks by a score of 82-81. Today was a different story. 

Wells College jumped out to a 10-2 lead over Berks after a 3-pointer from Jalen Feliz. The Express would work hard to try and extend their lead but they could not get it to double digits in the first half. Quick offense from Billy McCrae and Ivan Oduro-Dompreh at the end of the half stretched the lead to 29-22 at the break. In the second half, the Wells offense took off! Terrance Clayton-Murphy had 12 points on 60% shooting, Jale Feliz added 9, Ransel Rodriguez added 8, and most importantly, the Express out-rebounded the Lions 26-18. Wells College had 4 players in double-digit scoring in their win this afternoon against Penn State Berks, 70-52. 

The Express also honored their senior Ty McBride before the game. During his time here he has scored 836 points (4th all-time), dished 213 assists (4th all-time), grabbed 211 rebounds, and had 138 steals (1st all-time). Thank you Ty for all your hard work and dedication to the Wells College men's basketball program!
