Men's Basketball Falls to Bobcats After Late Push

Aurora, N.Y.-

The Wells College men's basketball team had a late push fall short Saturday against the Bobcats of University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg 57-69 in an AMCC Conference game at Schwatz Gymnasium.  A sluggish start for the Express in the first half left led to an explosive beginning of the second half where Wells cut into the lead with a 7-0 run in the first three minutes of play.  The game stayed within reach for Wells, including down by eight with a little over two minutes to go, but the Bobcats were able to hold off any late surges.  Playing well for the Express was guard Ransel Rodriguez with 13 points and eight rebounds.  Terrance Clayton-Murphy added 17 points and Evan Hauser put up 10 points for Wells.  Alex Grant led the Express with nine rebounds, four of them offensive, as a spark off the bench.

The Express head to Erie, P.A. Monday, February 5th for another AMCC match-up with Penn State-Behrend at 7pm.
