Men's Basketball Falls To Carlow in Overtime

Wells College men's basketball played in their second AMCC match-up of the season on Saturday when they hit the road for Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to take on the Carlow University Celtics.

The two teams were evenly matched in the first half, playing to a 37-37 tie.  Eight points from Terrance Clayton-Murphy and seven from Chase Welch helped the Express keep the game close. The Express held a small 74-73 lead in the last minute of regulation when Ivan Oduro-Dompreh made a tip in lay up to put the Express up 3. After getting a defensive stop, Wells turned the ball over and it led to a Carlow three pointer that ended up sending this game to overtime. In overtime, the Express had two costly turnovers that led to points for the Celtics. As time ran down, Carlow made their free throws handing the Express their second conference loss of the season 88-84.

Up next, men's basketball will host Alfred State on Wednesday.
