Men's Basketball Falls to Mounties

Wells College men's basketball was back on the road Wednesday with another AMCC contest aginst the Mounties of Mt. Aloysius College, where they fell 83-90.  The Mounties took an early lead in the first half, up 25-16, untill Wells went on a 10-0 run to take the lead with 7:42 remaining in the half with a 3-pointer made by Chase Welch.  The remainder of the half was a back and forth battle, and continued into the second half.  Mt. Aloysius took the lead again in the second half to have Wells bounce back again and take the lead by six with 8:54 to go in the game, led by some timely 3-point shoting by Welch and Evan Hauser. The game stayed close to the buzzer, with the Mounties edging pass for a win.  Three players for Wells scored in double digits, Ransel Rodriguez had 23 points, Terrance Clayton-Murphy had 18 points and Welch ended up with 16 points.  The Express shot well in the second half, shooting 60% from the floor and 80% for the game from the free throw line.

Wells is back on the road Saturday, February 10th for a 3:00pm match up at LaRoche University.
