The Wells College mens basketball team took on the number one team in the conference, Lancaster Bible Chargers on Saturday afternoon in Lancaster PA.
The high powered Charger offense took a 9-2 lead over the Express to start the game. Wells would hold steady and even take a small lead (23-21) with 5 minutes remaining in the first half. Lancaster Bible would take a time out and the finish the half on a 12-5 run over the Express and take a 33-28 lead into half time. In the second half, the Express could not cut the lead to any lower than 4 points. As the time ticked off the clock the Chargers began to slowly pull away. Wells College turned the ball over 21 times and were out-rebounded 39-24. The Chargers would hand the Wells Express another conference loss, 72-62.
Wells College had 3 players score in double figures, Billy McCrae (15pts), Ransel Rodriguez (19pts), Ty McBride (10pts).
Men's basketball will host Penn State Abington next Saturday.
