Men's Basketball Falls to Hawks

Hamburg, N.Y.-

Wells College men's basktball team traveled to AMCC opponent Hilbert Hawks Wednesday and lost 50-76 on a night of cold shooting for the Express.  Wells as a team was 17-55 from the floor, after starting the game on a 7-0 scoring run.  The Hawks battled back to contend during the first half but Wells' offense stalled which hindered their ability to mount a comeback in the second half.  Leading the way for the Express was senior forward Billy McCrae who had 10 points and added three rebounds.  Chase Welch and Evan Hauser both added eight points for the Wells.

Wells College is back in action this Saturday, February 17th in thier final home game versus Penn State - Behrend.  The Express will be honoring seniors McCrae, Terrance Clayton-Murphy, and junior James Lucey.
