Women’s Lacrosse Team Falls on the Road

The Wells College women's lacrosse team's win streak was stymied by Fredonia, more than a week after the Express captured its first home win against Mount Aloysius. Instead the team fell on the road to the Blue Devils on Monday, April 12.

Lauren Spiegel (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) registered 11 saves on 29 shots and had a team-best three groundballs in defeat.

After Spiegel, Mollie Walts (Cortland, N.Y.) had a pair of groundballs with one groundball each for Lydia Thomas (Colton, N.Y.), Clara Lima (Hastings Hudson, N.Y.), Julia Barnwell (East Syracuse, N.Y.) and Danielle Radivoy (Otisville, N.Y.).

Lima also led the team in draw controls with three and had a team-best four caused turnovers. Barnwell, Walts and Ellie Beavers (Syracuse, N.Y.) also had caused turnovers for the Express.

Mackenzie Powers (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Thomas recorded shots for Wells.

The Express next hosts SUNY Morrisville on Wednesday, April 14.
