Express Defeat East Mennonite, Remain Spotless Thanks to Balanced Scoring Barrage

HARRISONBURG, VA - The Express Women's Lacrosse team ended their spring break on a high note, voyaging south on Thursday and defeating East Mennonite 17-4 to stay unbeaten in the 2024 season. 

Multiple Express attackers peppered the opposing cage, with Lydia ThomasHannah Lamont, and AMCC Offensive Player of the Week Logan Lomonaco each netting 4 goals. Jade Epp also shot well, recording 3 goals in the game. 

The Express also kept up their draw control dominance, out-dueling the Royals 18-7 in total draw controls. They currently rank 1st for draw control percentage in all of NCAA Division III women's lacrosse at .766. 

Aiding in the draw control efforts were first year Hannah Lamont and sophomore Olivia Garcia who each pumped in 7 draw controls for the Express. 

The Wells women also outshot East Mennonite 40-17 on the night, netting 17 of those attempts to run away with the 17-4 victory.

The Express have outscored their first 5 opponents by a combined goal differential of 87-14, an average win margin of 14.6 goals. 

Wells women's lacrosse will host Waynesburg next Friday at 4:00 PM for their home opener up at the Wells College Turf Complex.
