The Wells College women's lacrosse team found its rhythm late as the team dominated the game's final 10 minutes with three goals-for and no goals-against on the road at Lancaster Bible College on Saturday, April 17 in the team's regular season finale.
Clara Lima (Hastings Hudson, N.Y.) and Lydia Thomas (Colton, N.Y.) got a pair of free position goals that were sandwiched between a Kayla Rowell (Cicero, N.Y.) tally to account for the Express scoring. Wells made good on 50 percent of its free position attempts.
The Chargers outshot Wells by a 32-12 margin with Lauren Spiegel (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) making 10 saves on two dozen shots on net. Spiegel also co-led the team in groundballs with Danielle Radivoy (Otisville, N.Y.), Ellie Beavers (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Mollie Walts (Cortland, N.Y.) with a pair apiece.
Lima and Mackenzie Powers (Syracuse, N.Y.) accounted for all but one of the team's eight draw controls.
The women's lacrosse team awaits North Eastern Athletic Conference playoff seeding for its next contest.
