Wells College women's lacrosse returned to action this Saturday morning when they took on the Mitchell College Mariners.
It did not take long for Wells College to get on the board this game when Lydia Thomas scored her first goal of the season in the second minute of play to give the Express a 1-0 lead. Thomas found the back of the net for the second time in the second quarter. Grace Kahl scored with 4 minutes remaining in the first half and grabbed her first collegiate goal! At the half, Wells was down 6-3. In the second half, Olivia Garcia and Quinn Mannion both scored their first collegiate goal helping the Express cut the lead. Lydia Thomas scored for a third time in the second half, but unfortunately, the Express fell to the Mariners on the road, 15-6.
Women's Lacrosse will hit the road for NJ next Friday.
