Wells Express Athletes of the Week 3/17

Congratulations to our Wells College Athletes of The Week, Serina Sheradin and Mike Nascimento!

Serina was nominated this week by her head coach Grace Van Horn. In her first two games of the season, Serina went 1-4 at the plate and was excellent defensively not just behind the plate, but playing the hot corner, third base, as well. In both games, Serina registered zero errors and 5 total put outs. Sheradin is in her junior season here with the Express and comes to Wells College from Fayetteville, NY. 

Mike Nascimento was nominated this week by his head coach Ryan Stevens. Nascimento has taken on the role of closer for the baseball team this season and last week alone secured one win and one save in 2.2 innings of work. Mike also struck out two in his two appearances and gave up only one hit. For the season, Nascimento has one win and three saves with a 3.38 era. Mike is in his first year at Wells College and comes to us from Waretown, NJ.
