Wells College Men’s Volleyball Ranked No. 3

The current Massey Ratings for National Collegiate Athletic Association D-III men's volleyball teams has Wells College at No. 3 after the team's undefeated start that included a win over No. 8 University of California Santa Cruz last weekend.

Wells College is at 4-0 on the season after taking four wins last weekend in UCSC's annual Slug Slam. Two members of the Express were recognized by the North Eastern Athletic Conference as its players of the week for their performances in that tournament. Justin Williams received NEAC Defensive Player of the Week after being named Slug Slam MVP, and Robert Patzer was named NEAC Offensive Player of the Week. Those two Wells College players along with Josh Undari were selected to the all-tournament team.

The Express travels to Rochester this weekend for the Cardinal Invite hosted by St. John Fisher College. Wells College will open with a 5 p.m. match on Friday, Jan. 17 against Elmira and follow that with a 7 p.m. match against the host Cardinals. The following day, Saturday, Jan. 18, the Express will wrap up play in the Cardinal Invite with an 11 a.m. match against Johnson and Wales.
