Men’s Volleyball Team Nationally-Ranked No. 7 in NVA/AVCA D-III Poll

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its first-week national rankings today with the Wells College men's volleyball team in the No. 7 spot, which is up four spots from the AVCA's preseason poll. Only one other school had a higher jump (five spots) than the Express. New York University went from No. 13 to just one spot below Wells at No. 8.

Of the ranked teams that have begun play, Wells College is just one of six unbeaten teams in the poll's top-15 and has the most wins of any ranked team at seven. Three of the Express' seven wins have come against teams that received votes in today's poll.

Wells will play a fourth team that received national poll votes this Friday, Jan. 24, when they face Wentworth in the SUNY Poly Wildcat Invitational at 2 p.m.
