Wells Sweeps NEAC Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors
LATHAM, N.Y. – The Wells College pair of Caden O'Loughlin and Robert Patzer collect North Eastern Athletic Conference men's volleyball weekly acclaim.
Caden O'Loughlin (Louisville, Ky.) collects Player of the Week honors after helping the Express go 3-0 last week and only dropped one set in the process at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Invite. O'Loughlin totaled 38 kills for a 3.8 per set average and hit .395 for the weekend. The senior had a weekend-high 16 kills and six digs in a 3-1 win over St. John Fisher on Friday. The Kentucky native added five service aces and accounted for 43 points (4.3 per set) over the three-match weekend.
Robert Patzer (Liverpool, N.Y.) collects Defensive Player of the Week honors after picking up Player of the Week last week. The junior averaged 2.0 digs and 0.60 blocks per set over 10 sets in the Express's 3-0 weekend at the St. John Fisher College Invite. Patzer had seven digs against both Elmira and St. John Fisher on Friday. The right-side hitter added three blocks against St. John Fisher and posted two more against Johnson & Wales (R.I.).
