SAAC to Conduct NCAA Division III Week Fundraisers

AURORA, N.Y. – The Wells College chapter of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is hosting two events this week, coinciding with NCAA Division III week. The week-long celebration, held nationwide from Apr. 4-Apr. 8, helped to showcase the Division III philosophy, which equally values academics, athletics and student-athlete involvement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. 

Throughout the next two weeks, members of SAAC will be furnishing recycling bins for cans, bottles and other returnables that will be played in several on-campus locations, including the dining hall, on-campus dorm buildings, The Grind, the Stratton lobby and the Schwartz Athletic Center. All proceeds raised from the can and bottle drive will benefit the Special Olympics. 

Additionally, student-athletes will be conducting a canned food drive with all proceeds to benefit the King Ferry Food Pantry and, in turn, the local community.
