LOTKOWICTZ SCORES NINE GOALS: EXPRESS BLOW OUT MARITIME COLLEGE

Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) scored nine goals and had three assists as the Wells College women's lacrosse team went on to blowout Maritime College 19-3 Sunday afternoon in Throggs Neck, NY. Liz Barclay (Laporte, PA) earned the win in net finishing with five saves.

Lotkowictz would score four of the first six goals as the Express would build a quick 6-0 lead before Maritime would get on the board with a goal of their own. By the time it was halftime, Wells had built an 11-2 lead as Lotkowictz would score six of her nine goals in the first half and assist on two others. From there the Express would cruise to the 19-3 victory, outscoring Maritime 8-1 in the second half.

Kirsten Musciano (Boonton TWP, NJ) finished with four goals, six shots, and two groundballs. Charlotte Fielding (Queensbury, NY) had three goals, on six shots, and one groundball. Ariella Taft (Cazenovia, NY) had two goals, on two shots, and one groundball.  Anna Breard (Biddeford, ME) had one goal, on two shots, and finished with one groundball.

Wells outshot Maritime 38-19 while Maritime held the edge in groundballs 24-19.

With the win the Express improve to 1-1 on the season and will next play Saturday, March 14th at 12:00 pm at Marywood.
