This week's edition of the weekly Express athletics interview with ESPN Ithaca will feature a segment from Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Vic Goeller as he joins host Nick Karski to discuss the Express' 8-0 start to the 2024 season.
The team has had an incredible campaign so far, striking down 8 straight opponents to start the 2024 season. On a national level, they rank extremely high in a lot of different statistical categories. You can see some of these different statistics below.
All of the following are rankings within ALL of NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse:
8th in scoring offense – 17.12 goals/game
1st in scoring defense – 3.38 goals allowed/game
1st in saves % - .630 save %
1st in scoring margin – the Express win by 13.75 goals/game
1st in shots on goal/game – 30.25
1st in draw control % - .742 dc% (they've held this ranking almost the whole season)
14th in draw controls/game – 17.25
6th in ground balls/game – 28.12
41st in caused turnovers/game – 12.62
