Express Women's Lacrosse Reigns Over AMCC 2024 Honors, Captures Bulk of Season's Awards

In addition to completing their 2024 campaign as the AMCC Women's Lacrosse Regular Season & Tournament Champions, the Wells College Express have officially taken over the AMCC All-Conference Team and the AMCC Yearly Awards too. The champs, who finished the conference season with a spotless 6-0 AMCC record (8-0 including the AMCC Tournament), have seen 7 spectacular Express stars get selected to the All-Conference squad. The Express also now boast the 2024 AMCC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Coach of the Year.

For an Express team in it's final season of play, it is a massive accomplishment to have so much representation among the conference's elite talents. With 4 of the 7 All-Conference reps being first years, the future is surely bright for wherever these young Express difference-makers choose to take their immense talents.

2024 AMCC Offensive Player of the Year2 Logan Lomonaco

Logan Lomonaco had a stunning year as the primary attacker for the AMCC champs. Lomonaco, a defender in her high school days at nearby Chenango Valley High School, made the transition to the offensive side of the field during her debut collegiate season. To say this switch has proved to be a success would be an understatement, as the first year absolutely exploded this season on her way to leading the AMCC in both goals scored and assists. Lomonaco will end her spectacular season with 100 points, an incredible mark for a player in their debut collegiate season. The phenom from Binghamton, NY also racked up 68 goals and 32 assists, securing herself a tie at 36th in all of Division III for most goals scored.

2024 AMCC Newcomer of the Year9 Hannah Lamont

Hannah Lamont was a revelation both on offense and on the draw for the Express this year, placing top 5 in the conference for both goals and assists with 46 and 31 while also proving herself unmatched on the draw this season with some ridiculous draw stats. Lamont's 15 draw controls in the AMCC Championship boosted her season total to an almost impossible 178, landing her in 3rd place for total draw controls in all of Division III. Lamont also ranked 3rd in the entire country for draw controls per game with 10.47, masterful marks for the first year who has a very bright future wherever her journey takes her next.

2024 Coach of the YearVic Goeller

Head Coach Vic Goeller secured the 2024 AMCC Coach of the Year by guiding this young Express squad to a 16-1 record along with both AMCC Championships. Goeller's fast play style suited his young recruits perfectly and allowed the Express to score a shocking amount of goals, netting 288 scores in only 17 games. Goeller's squad was nationally ranked in many statistical categories including goals allowed average, save percentage, scoring offense, draw control percentage, and win percentage. The excellent blend of senior leadership along with a wealth of youthful talent allowed the team to reach never before seen heights in their final year as a program.
