Wells Express Athletes of The Week 9/27
Congratulations to this week's athletes of the week, Sergio Muniz Jr. and Alycia Wilson!
Sergio Muniz Jr. (Men's Golf) was selected this week based on his performance on September 25th at SUNY Poly where he shot his lowest score of the season, 86. Sergio's average this season is 93.8 and has been improving every week since the start of the season. Men's golf will head to the AMCC Championships in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania starting on Monday. Sergio is in his first year here at Wells College and comes to us From Milwaukee Wisconsin. He was nominated this week by his head coach Ryan Stevens.
Alycia Wilson (Women's Volleyball) was selected this week based on her performance in three matches for the Express last week. The first-year player, Wilson, had a breakout stretch in three games against SUNY Poly, Suny Cobleskill, and MCLA. Over that stretch, Alycia tallied 33 kills on a .357 attack percentage, 16 digs, and 36.5 total points. Women's volleyball will return home this weekend to open conference play in a tri-match with St John Fisher and Pitt Greensburg. Wilson is in her first year here at Wells College and comes to us from Portland Oregon. She was nominated this week by her head coach Mark Lucas.
