Women's Lacrosse Open's Season vs Alfred

On Wednesday night the Wells College women's lacrosse team hosted the Alfred University Saxons in their season opener.

The first quarter however did not go the way of the Express. The Saxons came out on fire netting 9 goals to jump out to a 9-2 lead. The two goals for the Express had come from sophomore Clara Lima. Lauren Spiegel did tally 8 saves in the first quarter however while allowing 9 goals.

The second quarter saw Alfred get off 11 shots on goal to the Express's 0. On 6 of those shots, Alfred was able to find the back of the net and the Express went into halftime down by a score of 15-2.

In the second half, the Saxons put 19 shots on the net while the Express was only able to produce 3. However, one of those goals did slip past the goalie for Clara Lima giving her the first hat trick of the season for the Express. Wells College Ultimately fell at home in their season opener by a score of 9-3.
