Thursday afternoon brought another home women's lacrosse game for Wells College.

The Express had last played April 9th when they traveled to Medaille College for a United East match-up. Today they hosted the out-of-conference Utica Pioneers.

Wells College struck first in this one when Julia Barnwell found the back of the net in the first minute of play. This was Barnwell's 4th goal of the season. Three minutes later, Clara Lima would score for the Express and make the score 3-2 in favor of the Pioneers. From this point on, the game would be all Pioneers. The offense for Utica would go on to score 24 goals on the day with no one player tallying more than 3 goals. Despite the 13 saves from Lauren Spiegel, Utica would continue to get shots on goal.
