Women's Lacrosse Takes On Caz

On Wednesday afternoon the Express women's lacrosse team traveled to Cazenovia College for an afternoon match-up.

The women's lacrosse team was still looking to capture its first win of the season today against the Wildcats.

In the first quarter, the Express struggled with some turnovers and the Wildcats took advantage. Caz was able to build a 5-0 lead by the end of the first. In the second quarter, the leading scorer for the Express, Clara Lima, found the back of the net twice giving the Express their first two goals of the game. However, the wildcats would head into halftime with a 12-2 lead over the Express.

The second half saw the Express's Isabella Ciancio score her first goal of the season. Also, Mackenzie Powers scored twice for the Express bringing the day total to 5 goals on the road. The Wildcats would close out the Express however by a score of 18-5.
