WELLS COLLEGE EXPRESS ANNOUNCES SPECTATOR POLICY FOR THE 2021–22 ATHLETIC SEASON

We missed you and are looking forward to welcoming back our families and friends to home contests for the 2021–22 athletic season. Following the guidance and recommendations from the NCAA Sports Sciences Resocialization of Collegiate Sports (2021 Fall Training and Competition) and the United East Conference, Wells College has established the following spectator policy for athletic events.

Vaccinations and Testing

For the health and safety of everyone on campus and teams visiting our campus, we strongly recommend that all spectators are vaccinated against COVID-19 or have tested negative for COVID-19 prior to arrival on campus.

Masking

Universal masking, regardless of vaccination status. is required of all spectators while attending programs held indoors (Volleyball, Basketball, Swimming) or using indoor facilities (e.g. restrooms, meeting rooms).

Masks are recommended for all outdoor events when social distancing cannot be maintained.

General Information

Spectators are not permitted in the team or playing area before, during or after the contest. Spectators should not approach players, coaches, officials, or game staff. Once the teams have cleared the playing area, spectators may meet with players and coaches provided masks are being worn.

The Wells College Express Spectator Policy applies to home contests only and may not be applied at away contests.   For away contest, spectator policies will be determined at the institution level. Please check the host team website for updated information.

Wells College Express reserves the right to adjust its spectator policy at any time based on local health information and/or recommendations from the NYS Department of Health, local and county health departments, CDC, NCAA and the United East Conference.

Updates to the spectator policy and other scheduling information will be posted on the Wells Express Website:  www.wells-express.com and Wells College Express social media platforms.
