Chi Alpha Sigma is the first and only non-profit organization that was established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition. The organization honors college student-athletes who receive a varsity letter in their sport, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full-time semester, earn a 3.40 cumulative GPA or higher, and demonstrate excellent character and citizenship. Over the last two years, NEAC Faculty Athletic Representatives (FARs) have emphasized the development of Chi Alpha Sigma chapters around the league, with five active chapters among our eight conference institutions.
"I am extremely proud to see the continued growth of Chi Alpha Sigma chapters throughout the NEAC as it provides our conference and institutions another opportunity to recognize the hard work, dedication and achievement of our student-athletes," shared NEAC Commissioner Stephanie Dutton. "This year, we celebrate the inaugural group of inductees at Lancaster Bible, Morrisville State and Wells College and we will continue to pursue our goal of establishing a chapter at each of our member institutions in the coming years."
