'On This Day' Musciano Takes 1st Overall at Keuka Invitational
'On This Day' is a Wells College Athletics feature series taking a look back on events that occurred on this day, Sept. 18, twelve years ago in 2008.
Aurora, New York – It was near perfect running conditions at the Keuka College Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, and Kirsten Musciano took advantage, finishing first in the Women's 5k held at Keuka Lake State Park. Musciano ran a time of 22:30, which was 42 seconds faster than her nearest competitor.
Kayleen Wilkinson finished fifth overall with a time of 24:14 at the Invitational. The top-five Wells runners included Sarah Brenner at eighth with a time of 25:44, Maria Melane at 13th with a time of 31:49 and Elizabeth Raymond at 15th with a 39:42 time.
